Who we are and what we sell

Generous Terms publishes safety guides, checklists, and templates for adults in financially supported relationships: how to verify the person you are talking to, how to share personal details without creating leverage, how to recognize the scams and extortion scripts that target this world, and, once it is real, how to handle the money and paperwork. We do not provide dating, introduction, or matching services. Our content contains no sexual material and makes no earnings claims. All products are for readers 18 and over.

Why this exists

Every other guide in this space tells you how to find an arrangement. None of them tell you how to come out of one safe. The questions people actually type at 2am are "is this person real," "what do I do, he's threatening to tell my family," and "why did my account get closed." Those are the questions we answer, in that order.

Who writes it

The editors have spent years on the investigative side of fraud, extortion, and account risk, watching how these scams are actually run and where people get hurt. We write under the Generous Terms name. Our authors use pen names, for the same reasons our readers use separate phone numbers.

What we will never do

We will never introduce readers to each other, host profiles or forums, or describe how to avoid lawful bank reporting. We will never put a dollar figure next to anything intimate, in any product, because that sentence is what turns a lawful relationship into a legal problem, and we will not write it for you.

Reviews and accuracy

Legal chapters and templates are reviewed by an attorney before publication. Tax chapters are reviewed by a CPA. Every figure carries an "as of" date and is refreshed each January. If you find an error, write to hello@generousterms.com.
